Danny is the man!! I wanted to get some traditional hand-poke tattoos, and being in a quiet place with trees and birdsong made the process all the more beautiful. He will always continue to surprise me with his knowledge, and we talked about so many subjects under the sun. Particularly history… give him any time period in history and he’ll spit some facts you probably never knew. Danny is the kindest dude, and a brilliant and unique artist with a genuine love of the art. I’m so keen to explore more art to permanently experience with him. Cheers Danny, you’re the man!

I reached out to Danny after my husband passed. I had a continual hollow ache in my chest. I needed a tangible symbol of my love for my husband for our love together. Something I could hold possibly even hold me in my grief. At the time I was wandering between the worlds, yearning on a soul level to be with my beloved. The tatoo incorporated his ashes into a rune symbol of eternal love our love. Danny's comfort with my grief his ability to hold space and go to the depths was exactly what I needed. Since having my tattoo I no longer have a physical ache in my chest, I feel comforted and somehow marked and seen in my new journey of walking this earth with my beloved as spirit.

I wanted my hands tattooed for years. Never having found the right artist, I was so glad to have found Danny in May 2022. The entire day spent at The Temple was so wonder-filled, and now I feel more completely me. Danny is professional, entertaining, a great listener and story-teller, and most of all, an incredible Artist!

Danny tattooed me as a “walk-in” at the Wellington Tattoo Expo, we had never met, never talked but something about his art and his style sung to me. After a brief chat, we agreed on a location and a design (a badass cave hyena) that we both liked and were happy with, I sat up onto his table and we got started. This was not my first tattoo, I have a few some being 10+hr sits. The feeling of getting a hand poked tat is nothing like a machined one. It is much gentler (no annoying noise either) and in my opinion, way cooler. I also opted for the obsidian and mammoth tusk addition to my tat. Neither of these hurt, the sharpened mammoth tusk felt like a regular needle and the obsidian was so sharp I barely felt it at all. Danny is great, we chatted and relaxed, he shared some of his knowledge on traditional tattooing while I sat enthralled by it. I will be back to get more of these from Danny. I’ll be giving him all the artist freedom an artist as good as himself deserves, he has my complete trust.

Danny is a humble and welcoming soul who i felt comfortable with, enough to trust him to tattoo my ear free hand without me seeing the design until after he was finished tattooing it. It was a wholesome experience and I highly recommend him.
